“This is our second year sponsoring the Murgado Automotive Group Players Party to benefit the Len Mattiace Foundation Stop the Bullying Campaign,” says BeLit CEO Barry Dixon, “With the event coming up on March 10, we couldn’t be more excited to continue our support of the great work being done by the Len Mattiace Foundation and their commitment to the well-being, growth, and safety of kids in communities throughout Northeast Florida.”
The Stop the Bullying Campaign is at the forefront of the Foundation’s mission, as they partner with 55 Middle Schools in Duval, St. Johns and Clay Counties to create after-school programs for students that are fun, interactive, engaging, and stress-free. Along with keeping youth off the streets after school, the Campaign works to raise awareness about the stark bullying epidemic, implement strategic lessons to help students understand diversity, and instill a mindsight of inclusion.
The Foundation also supports The First Tee of North Florida by hosting a monthly golf event called “The First Tee Series” at country clubs across North Florida. This unique event matches local amateurs with local youth in a scramble format with all proceeds benefiting a program that builds inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience in kids by integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum.
“Our goal at BeLit has always been to find and ignite the potential in everyone we meet, be they colleagues, customers, or members of our community,” says Barry. “With funds raised at this year’s Players Party, Len’s Foundation will continue to help more than 55,000 middle school students in our communities ignite their potential as well.”
