On April 29, 2024, BeLit, Inc. welcomed Andrew W. Murphy as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer. With more than 18 years of financial leadership experience in the energy, artificial intelligence and technology industries, including high-ranking positions with two publicly-traded companies, he joins the BeLit team from Nasdaq-listed Duos Technologies Group, Inc.
Andrew spent almost four years with Duos, first as Vice President of Finance and later as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, he was responsible for supporting new project bids, building out the company’s FP&A function and recalibrating the long-term commercial strategy of the business.
Prior to joining Duos, Andrew held progressive senior finance roles within APR Energy, a global fast-track power and asset management company formerly listed on the London Stock Exchange. In addition to core financial planning efforts, he oversaw the pricing and risk management efforts for more than $800 million in new business and asset transactions across the globe.
“We are excited to have Andrew join our team as CFO,” says BeLit CEO Barry Dixon. “Our family of companies is growing, and I believe that his experience in strategic investment, FP&A planning and M&A activities will be incredible assets as we look to the future.”
“As we plan for BeLit’s continued growth and scale, it was important for us to find a financial leader and partner of Andrew’s caliber, experience and character,” explains Tyson Eavenson, BeLit’s Chief of Staff. “As we looked to fill the CFO position, we not only set a high bar for financial acumen and leadership abilities but also sought someone who exemplifies BeLit’s core values of Passion, Integrity, Collaboration and Ownership. Having worked alongside Andrew previously in my career, I have witnessed these core values in action firsthand and thus am very excited to have him leading our Finance and Accounting Teams and overall financial strategy.”
“It’s a pleasure to join a Jacksonville-based company with a focus on being best-in-class for its industry with a track record to back it up,” says Andrew. “Barry and the team have built an impressive organization under the BeLit umbrella, and I’m excited to join the team during this important inflection point in the company’s trajectory.”
Andrew holds both a business degree in Accounting and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Jacksonville University.
